Street Clocks
Posted on June 27, 2007
I first saw a miniature street clock in “Wood-turning Design” …. sorry I cant find the article and don’t know the issue. They are fun to turn, develop great spindle skills and make a delightful gift. My mom and wife both have one now. I have added this to the classes I give at Woodcraft, my first one is next week. I’ll let you know how that goes. I designed my last clock on my “virtual lathe” and it turned out exactly as I expected and the 3D rendering showed.
I will post some simple “how to’s in this blog later.
Want to know what a virtual lathe is …… look around this site.
The model is shown below, on the Donny Virtual Lathe

Nice work.
The article you referred to is in issue 12 (winter 2007) page 8 of Woodturning design.
Thanks Colin. Now I can see if I can find that issue.
