The name of my site was invented by my wife, not as a message of arrogance but more a definition of my aspiration. My goal is to some day master the craft of wood-turning.
In the past few years wood-turning has pre-occupied my creative and skills building energies. There seems to be no end to the dimensions of this craft and I expect it to carry me into retirement.
It is at this site I am willing to share, learn and sell. To that end this site is a combination of web site, store and blog. I invite your interaction as long as it is professional and clean.
You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to share with me directly.
In most areas of this site there is a dialog box for you to comment in. I’ll get back to you as I have time so I ask for your patience in advance.
What I do for a living is irrelevant to my turning, other than I am an engineer by profession. Being an engineer certainly influences my wood-turning outlook.
This site is a blend of web site blog and store which consists of posts and pages. Posts capture content that I add about projects I am working on and also captures some of my thinking and learning’s …………….. that’s dangerous.
Everything you need to navigate is to the right in the “categories & pages” navigation bars. The pages are more static content and the categories are an index to the blog and associated posts.
I sell books, methods and apparrell to support this out of control hobby.
The books I think are a good value because they capture in vivid photos and logical steps things that took me substantial research and practice to create. Most of my books are priced under $20.
I also create my books and methods in an easy to read format made to sit next to you on the bench.
Navigating the blog
Read the Blog: these entries are on the left of the page and are entered chronologically
Search the blog:At the bottom and right you can search the blog by entering keywords.
Read by category:you can read entries that pertain to a specific category by clicking on the category.
Return to the Blog: just click home
Navigating the Pages
Pages: are like web pages and contain static content. Links to other pages and even blog entries are highlighted.
Return to the Blog: just hit home and you will return to the blog
Right Click: Most pictures are hot and right clicking on them will open a new window with a large picture. The back button will take you back to the source page.
When in the Gallery page select the first picture to view the entire album. There are forward and back buttons while in that album.
Searching & feeds
Don’t miss the search box and RSS feeds at the bottom as they can help you find stuff in the blog and also keep up to speed with changes.
I hope you enjoy the site, just leave me your thoughts in the comments fields
